Inspiration comes from all types of places, personal, movies, tv, friends, and sometimes just random ideas that pop into my head. I’ve even been working on Latin records with my good friend Cesar Da Emperor. I love doing acoustic records, pop, EDM, darker emo types, ballads, the whole thing.

This industry is super tough, and you need to absolutely love what you do to battle the speed bumps that music throws at you. I think just being a genuine lover of music, you have to be. How do you prepare for the versatile projects you get? Where do you look for inspiration, especially with K-Pop songs? I lived in the middle of Scotland in the countryside, so I had so much space and time to practice. I remember in the early days being so obsessed with getting the right sound and really honing my craft. Then one day, they got me a MacBook laptop for my birthday, and it had GarageBand… I randomly opened it up and started tinkering with all the sounds and recording myself, and that’s how I fell in love with music. They never pushed me to do music, they were all about finding my own path and letting me do my thing. They’re both in the music industry, my dad being a UK producer and my mum a music agent and manager. Looking back at it, what do you think inspired you to make music initially? I love fast melodies and stacking harmonies, so I think with those things combined and the music that I loved it worked perfect for the k-pop market.

I think my writing style just naturally flowed the way that they love, and then I started getting cuts over there. It’s a funny story actually, I never catered my songs for the K-pop world when I first started. It’s a pleasure to be talking to you guys, very excited about this interview!Ĭan you talk about how you started working in the K-Pop industry? Hey everybody!
